Ricci was the eldest of four children born to Sarah Murdoch and Ralph Ricci in Santa Monica, California. Her mother was model for the Ford Agency model in the 1960s before becoming a real-estate agent. Her father was a lawyer who was also a drug counsellor, primal screaming therapy and trainer for gyms. Ricci said that her Italian heritage is a direct consequence of her surname that she has. Over the course of four to five generations in the past, an Italian man and woman married Irish women. The couple had four sons. Children were born as more Irish wives were married. Family members of Ricci's moved out of Italy and relocated to Montclair, New Jersey. There she attended Edgemont Elementary School and Glenfield Middle School, Montclair High School, Montclair High School, Morristown-Beard School, as well as Montclair High School. She was a student at the Professional Children's School, New York City. Kelli Kanak Kelli Kelli
