Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her father was a schoolteacher while her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and would often perform puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to join the business of show production. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, where she was featured in a television commercial featuring Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The same year, she was featured in a second commercial on television for the doll Chatty Cathy. The following year, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1200 kids to be one of the oldest twins on The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The run of five years for the show proved to be a huge great success. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. The book revealed the fact that McCormick almost lost her virginity on sets of the show in the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book, Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. But the timing wasn't the right time.
